Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Chicken thighs Bone-in and skin-on for better flavor.
  • 1 cup Apple cider Use fresh apple cider for the best taste.
  • 2 tbsp Butter Unsalted recommended.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce Can use low-sodium soy sauce.
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste.
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper To taste.
Optional Sides
  • 2 cups Roasted vegetables Carrots, potatoes, or your choice.
  • 4 cups Mashed potatoes For a creamy side dish.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat, then add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Cooking
  1. Add chicken thighs to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides.
  2. Pour in the apple cider, soy sauce, and brown sugar for that sweet and savory blend.
  3. Season with salt and pepper, then bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Reduce heat and cook until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and the sauce has thickened.
Serving
  1. Serve hot with roasted vegetables or creamy mashed potatoes.

Notes

Marinate chicken thighs in apple cider for richer flavor. Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar according to taste. For a thicker sauce, simmer longer until desired consistency.
