  • 1 can 14 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 1 piece onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For sautéing the onion and garlic.
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • as needed Pasta or crusty bread for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.
  2. In a slow cooker, place the chicken breasts, adding the sautéed onion and garlic, diced tomatoes, and fresh basil.
  3. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste.
Cooking
  1. Cook on low for 6 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
Serving

Notes
