- In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
- Pour the honey garlic mixture over the cooked chicken.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth, then add to the skillet to thicken the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce is sticky and coats the chicken.
- Serve over cooked rice and with steamed vegetables.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the honey-soy-garlic mixture for at least 30 minutes before cooking. If you like a bit of heat, consider adding red pepper flakes to the sauce. Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey, according to your taste preference. You can also use chicken thighs for a more tender texture.
