Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • cooked rice or vegetables (for serving) optional serving suggestions

Method

Preparation
  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and sear them until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side depending on thickness.
Cooking
  1. Reduce the heat to low and add the minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
  2. Once the chicken is cooked through, remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley.
  3. Serve the chicken with cooked rice or vegetables.
Serving Suggestion
  1. Place a chicken breast on a plate. Spoon any butter and garlic from the pan over the chicken. Add a side of rice or steamed vegetables. Garnish with the chopped parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

Pat the chicken dry before seasoning to get a better sear. Use a heavy skillet for even cooking, and watch the garlic closely to avoid burning. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes post-cooking to retain its juiciness.
