Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Core the apples and place them in a baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon together.
  4. Sprinkle this mixture over the apples, filling the centers.
  5. Place a small piece of butter on top of each apple.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the apples are tender.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
