Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Core the apples and place them in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon together.
- Sprinkle this mixture over the apples, filling the centers.
- Place a small piece of butter on top of each apple.
Baking
- Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the apples are tender.
Serving
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
Notes
For an extra crunch, add some oats to the filling mix for a streusel-like topping. If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
