Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 2 pounds chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For the Tzatziki Sauce
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 piece cucumber, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • to taste Salt
Other Ingredients
  • 4 pieces pita bread
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Marinate the chicken in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Grill or cook the marinated chicken in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
  3. In another bowl, combine Greek yogurt, feta cheese, grated cucumber, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt to make the tzatziki sauce.
  4. Warm the pita bread in a skillet or oven.
  5. Assemble the gyros by placing the cooked chicken in pita bread, drizzling with tzatziki sauce, and garnishing with fresh parsley.

Notes

Marinate longer for more flavor. Use fresh ingredients for better taste. Try different proteins like beef or lamb for variation.
