Ingredients
  

For the stir-fry
  • 1 pound beef (sliced thinly) Slice against the grain for tenderness.
  • 2 cups snow peas Can use fresh or thawed frozen snow peas.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free variant.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce Can substitute with hoisin sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Used for marinating the beef.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For stir-frying.
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add garlic and ginger, stir-fry for about 30 seconds until aromatic.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet, cooking until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the snow peas and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
  2. Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions, if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet over low heat. Avoid reheating in the microwave to prevent tough beef.
