Wet Ingredients
  • 2 pieces ripe bananas, mashed Make sure the bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Can be substituted with coconut oil or non-dairy butter.
  • 1 piece egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Feel free to experiment with dark or white chocolate chips.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas with brown sugar and softened butter until well combined.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  2. Allow to cool before serving and enjoy your delicious banana chocolate chip cookies!

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe bag or container for about three months. Consider adding nuts for a nuttier taste.
