Ingredients

For the marinade
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
For the chicken
  • 4 pieces chicken breasts
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, honey, salt, pepper, and oregano to create the marinade.
  2. Place chicken breasts in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over the chicken. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.
  2. Grill chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is cooked through.
  3. Remove from grill and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

To enhance flavor, marinate the chicken for up to 4 hours. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is properly cooked. Experiment with different herbs and spices.
